Facelift, also called Rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure which is done for an ageing face. With facial ageing, our skin becomes thin and loses tone, it droops, creating deep pleats and wrinkles.

Along with this, there is loss and drooping of superficial and deep fat pads in the face as well. Nonsurgical facial rejuvenation cannot fix all these changes alone. And so to revert these changes surgical rejuvenation is needed in the form of a Facelift, Necklift, Fat grafting, etc.

We, at AT Aesthetics, work with the natural facial contours of our clients and give them a natural younger rejuvenated face. Our surgical facial rejuvenation procedures are well tailored as per the needs of our clients, in the context of natural-looking faces for best results

There are numerous types of Surgical Facelift procedures depending upon the incisions taken, the area of the face lifted, the layers of the face lifted, and the lifting methods used.

Traditionally, facelift was only limited to the skin i.e removing the excess skin and redraping it. But with detailed knowledge about the facial anatomy, it was found that SMAS (Superficial MusculoAponeurotic System) layer of the face is more crucial than the skin alone.

And so today, techniques have developed to include the SMAS (Superficial MusculoAponeurotic System) layer of the face in a facelift, called Deep plane facelift. So any procedure of facelift today is a mix of modified techniques including the skin, SMAS, muscle and fat layers of the skin.

Facelift procedure can be combined with Implant placement or fat grafting whenever needed to overall enhance the look of the face.

Classical Facelift, also called Traditional Facelift, is a surgical procedure done for individuals with moderate to severe aging of the face.

It involves an incision starting from the hairline, around the ears, to the back of the neck if needed, along with a small incision below the chin. This gives proper access to the surgeon to dissect between the layers of the face to get to the problem areas, remove the excess tissues and bands, lift the tissues, and redrape the skin over the face.

This technique has evolved the most in facial rejuvenation procedures, that today the results are dramatic and lasting, along with inconspicuous scars.

Mini Facelift, also called as ‘Weekend Facelift’ or ‘Short scar lift”, is a less invasive method of getting rid of early changes of lower face ageing. It is a technique that utilises a small incision under the hairline in order to remove the excess tissue and tighten the skin over the lower face and neck. This helps in improving the appearance of the lower midface, jowls, jawline contour and neck folds. It does provide improvement in those with early ageing changes but the results are not as dramatic as the classical Facelift.

An Endoscopic facelift is a procedure that uses a small camera-mounted scope and special instruments to perform a facelift. Because of the instrumentation used, the incision given is very minimal and hidden in the hairline. With the help of the endoscope, the surgeon can manipulate the tissues of the upper and midface and tighten up the skin, getting rid of aging signs over the face. However, being minimally invasive, it cannot help with lower face ageing.

Brow lift, also called as Forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that focuses on the upper part of the face. It includes horizontal incision along the upper hairline, dissection and manipulation of the forehead muscles and skin and lifting them with remobal of the excess.

This helps in getting rid of upper face ageing signs like the forehead wrinkles, dropping eyebrows and upper eyelids. This enhances the appearance of the upper face and eyes giving a youthful and cheerful face.
